Noticed something on my second play through. When Aoba gets caught by Mink, he wakes up in this bedroom. Because it reeks of cinnamon, this is clearly Mink’s bedroom. Yet, look at the condition of it. It isn’t really a room. Certainly not supposed to be comfortable at all.
Yet, look in the corner.
Mink made a little shrine to his culture and ancestors. And, judging by the candles, he often prays there. He finds the time to respect and remember what he lost.
It is basically what Mink is all about in Dramatical Murder. He doesn’t care about himself. He has no need for comfort or any sort of connection to the now, since he was going to kill himself. Yet, he devotes everything to the past and his revenge.
Now compare the emptiness of this room to his house in re:connect, when he actually moves on from his past and is looking towards the future.
